Sorry for posting so late, but I'm a busy busy girl at the moment. I think some of you all-especially students- feel me on this, so in light of being couped up inside for a week of midterms during this BEAUTIFUL weather, Thursday evening would be a great time for a de-stress bike ride to enjoy the warmth. It can be a long or short ride, fast or slow, whatver the people in the group decide based on everyone's capability and what they're feeling at the moment. I just got a book of all of the trails in Greensboro so I was thinking maybe we could hit up one of the greenways (though some are kind of far out to get to).

Guess what?!

There will be a Bike Me! Collective meeting on Monday feb. 27th at 5 pm in the Benbow room in the EUC. This is a general meeting for folks to come out and talk, share ideas, listen, perhaps help plan and delegate duties if anyone is interested in taking on something. Again, this is open to all, you don't have to have a bike (because you can always get one for free!), and no one is obligated to participate in anything or give money. Hope to see some of you there :)

All Righty Then,
Sue

Promoting alternative transportation and bicycle advocacy in Greensboro.

The Bike Me! Bicycle Collective is a nonprofit student and community-run collective promoting the bicycle as a viable means of transportation. The collective unites local cyclists among alternative transportation users and advocates to create a self-sustaining community through events (informational workshops, rides, etc.) and a campus-based bicycle workshop.

Education and Events:

  • Working with the City of Greensboro to install bicycle facilities- lanes, trails, racks, showers, etc.
  • Educate the community about bicycling and alternative transportation to encourage use and coexistence between cyclists and cars.
